When we use Web research (Web clipping, note taking) tools it means that we have found a Website or get info about it in other form.
As concering search I typically use a few different types seach engines
Quintura http://www.quintura.com
powerset http://www.powerset.com
Microsoft Live search http://search.live.com
Clusty http://clusty.com/ (former vivisimo)
Some search engines enable to get an additional information about related terms, other generates list of topics etc.
Kartoo generates some visualisation of results etc.
Typically I start to collect realted terms to my first query and compare different search results.
